Eduardo A. Undurraga, ingeniero civil UC, obtuvo un doctorado en Políticas Sociales en Brandeis University (Massachusetts), con una beca Fulbright, y un magíster en Estudios Sociales y Políticos Latinoamericanos en la Universidad Alberto Hurtado.

Trabajó como investigador en economía de la salud y modelación de enfermedades infecciosas en el US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) y en el Schneider Institutes for Health Policy, Brandeis University donde es Visiting Research Scholar. Fue finalista del premio Kaafee Billah Early Career Award (2017) de CDC. 

Sus intereses de investigación están en la intersección de la salud humana con las ciencias sociales. Usa métodos cuantitativos para analizar los factores locales, nacionales, y globales que afectan la salud y el bienestar de la población y evaluar el impacto de programas e intervenciones para informar mejores políticas públicas. Es investigador asociado en el Núcleo Milenio para el Estudio del Curso de Vida y la Vulnerabilidad (MLIV) y en el Núcleo Milenio para la Investigación Colaborativa en Resistencia Antimicrobiana (MICROB-R). También es investigador en el Centro de Investigación para la Gestión Integrada del Riesgo de Desastres (CIGIDEN).
