Descripción

Benjamín es Químico Farmacéutico, Magíster en Ciencias Farmacéuticas, Magíster en Ciencias Biológicas, y Doctor en Ciencias Biológicas. Su tesis doctoral estudió la epidemiología de la septicemia rickettsial de salmónidos y de otras enfermedades infecciosas en salmones de cultivo en el sur de Chile. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen la epidemiología de enfermedades infecciosas, el modelamiento estadístico de fenómenos de salud, la resistencia a antimicrobianos, y el enfoque Una Salud. Ha participado en publicaciones en diversos tópicos incluyendo enfermedades infecciosas en salmónidos, desarrollo del lenguage en niños prematuros, inmunología del virus respiratorio sincicial, epidemiología de COVID-19, y química medicinal, entre otros.
