Eduardo A. Undurraga es Profesor Asociado de la Escuela de Gobierno UC, CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar (2021-2023), y Luksic Scholar del David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies (DRCLAS), Harvard University (2022-2023). Es investigador del Multidisciplinary Initiative for Collaborative Research in Bacterial Resistance (MICROB-R) y del Centro de Investigación para la Gestión Integrada del Riesgo de Desastres (CIGIDEN), Chile. Graduado como ingeniero civil UC y magíster en estudios sociales y políticos latinoamericanos en la U. Alberto Hurtado, Eduardo obtuvo un doctorado en políticas sociales en Brandeis University, con una beca Fulbright.

Su investigación está en la interfaz de las ciencias sociales y la salud de la población. Usa métodos cuantitativos para analizar los factores locales, nacionales, y globales que afectan la salud y el bienestar de la población y evaluar el impacto de programas e intervenciones en salud pública, particularmente en América Latina. Con un enfoque interdisciplinario y colaborativo, Eduardo tiene más de 100 publicaciones científicas internacionales (WoS), incluyendo revistas como The New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, y Nature. Los resultados de su investigación han sido destacados en medios nacionales e internacionales, incluyendo CNN International, O Globo, Scientific American, South China Morning Post, The Economist, The New York Times, y The Washington Post. Ha colaborado con gobiernos y organizaciones internacionales como Bloomberg Data for Health Initiative, CDC Foundation, UNICEF, y la Organización Mundial de la Salud.

Anteriormente, fue un Steven M. Teutsch Prevention Effectiveness Fellow en el Health Economics and Modeling Unit, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2015-2017), y Senior Research Associate en el Schneider Institutes for Health Policy, Heller School, Brandeis University (2014-2015). Fue finalista del Kaafee Billah Early Career Award de CDC (2017).
